MY STORY
My name is Traci and I am the woman, camera, heart, and soul behind Indium Gems Photo Studio.
As a result of trying to become pregnant for almost 3 years, all I could dream and hope for was a beginning and I knew I’d be documenting it in an artful way. I couldn’t wait for my chance to do a maternity session and then of course a newborn session — that’s the photographer in me. I couldn’t think further ahead because I didn’t know if I would ever even become pregnant.
Finally, we became pregnant for the first time after 1 round of IUI. Needless to say, I was shocked and so so grateful that it worked. These photoshoot dreams were finally going to become my reality.
The day before my own maternity session, I landed a 4-night hospital stay with a brief episode of pre-term labor. Although I had a ton on my mind, I was so sad at the thought of not being able to take maternity photos. It was something I had been looking forward to for years. To make a long story short, baby decided to stay in and we made it full term! My water actually broke at home just like the movies.
It's not very often our bodies create an entire human and I wanted to document the very beginning of this tiny baby’s existence who I already loved so much. I look forward to the day my daughter sees my maternity portrait on the wall. I know she'll see beyond looks and instead see her selfless, loving, powerful mama.
Eventually, your pregnancy will be nothing but a distant memory and it deserves to be documented while you still can.
I thought I missed my chance when I went into pre-term labor at 28 weeks.

Most clients schedule their photo
session between 28 and 33 weeks.
It all depends on how much
you’re showing, and which phase
of pregnancy you’d like to capture.
I recommend not scheduling too
close to your due date, for obvious
reasons like babies having their
own timeline! -
We’re happy to include anyone you want to include in your photos.

I have been taking portraits since 2007. You’re in the absolute best hands. You’ll see your photos instantly live on our iPad and we’ll make sure we love them as we go. Don’t worry about a thing. I got you!

We will not pressure you out of your comfort zone! 95% of my clients opt to do implied nudes which means you’re covered strategically with silk or your hands. Exposed nips is what I refer to as “topless” and that is 100% your choice. Neither are required.

Bring anything you think you might want to wear to the styling appointment. Most of my maternity clients rely on the client closet.

Our booking fee is $590 which includes your service experiences. Our image collections start at $1790 and go up from there.
Payment methods: Card or venmo. If you need more time to pay, but want to do this now, we’re now offering Shop Pay Installments! Ask about Shop Pay once you secure your session date.
Flying in?
We love when Clients fly in to work with us. We’ve hosted women from Canada and all across the US from TN, CA, TX, AR, FL, NY, SC, IN, CO, WI, NJ, AL, OR, and WA to name a few.
